Why this must be read: The pairing of Djokovic/Federer has a rather small but fierce following in fandom. It has seemed over the years that Novak has a way of getting under Roger's skin in a way nobody (not even Nadal) can accomplish. This author has a couple of series that are still in progress with this pairing but the fic that really comes to mind when I think of the dynamic is this story, written in 2010. Novak decides the best way to get Roger is to debase himself and say he's the worst kisser in the world. Roger does eventually give in, only for Novak to discover that Roger is, in fact, a very good teacher who is just not that good with relationships.
