Why this must be read: Well, because Starsky’s really hurt and Hutch is really angsty. I hate to say it, but I love it when they're like that. It’s lively, well-paced, and suspenseful, and you just have to feel for poor Hutch, who doesn’t know what the heck is going on -- he can't even find his partner, much less help him. Kaye says she wrote this in response to a challenge to “Make Starsky Bleed.” And boy, does he ever.
