The Faith Trilogy by Gabrielle Lawson (PG)
Fandom: STAR TREK: DEEP SPACE NINE, STAR TREK: THE NEXT GENERATION
Pairing: None
Length: 185,810 words (total)
Author Website: The Edge of the Frontier or Fanfiction.net
Summary: Doctor Bashir, marooned for over six months, is discovered by the Enterprise. Starfleet counted him dead. Section 31 made sure of that. Can he get his life back?
Why this must be read: One thing that intrigued me about DS9 was the idea of Section 31, but the show didn't really show the possible ramifications of such an organization existing - it was touched on, but kind of abandoned. This trilogy takes (in my opinion) a more realistic viewpoint on what they would have done to Bashir after they attempt to recruit him. It also lets us see how other characters in the ST universe would react if they found about about Section 31's existence.
Hope (Part 1), Forgiveness (Part 2), Peace (Part 3) - on fanfiction.net for readability
