Why this must be read: For some people, music plays an essential part in life.  It’s in their head, pops out of them all the time, and plays over their life like the soundtrack to a movie, or a music video.  I think Hutch must be one of these.  It's canon that he’s musically inclined – he plays the guitar and the piano (and attempts the trumpet), whistles, and likes to sing (he's a light tenor).  Dawnwind's Hutch’s Song is a wonderfully lyrical story about the music running through Hutch’s life and in his heart.  It’s very prettily done, and the ending rocks.

From "Hutch’s Song":

Theirs was a waltz, a dance for two, performed to music only they heard . . .

How perfect is that?

What a wonderful surprise to wake up to! Thank you. I wrote Hutch as a mirror to myself, because I am just as you describe, there's music in my head every moment.
