fated_addiction is for me one of the best LJ authors in the Sailor Moon fandom. Both have a beautiful writing style and a perfect grasp of the characters. So I can only say read every story written by them. It is worth it.
In this story by fated we see a slightly different Season 1. Sailor Venus says she is the Moon Princess and so she is also Mamorus/Tuxedo Masks true love. Usagi needs to accept this. Some truths are unavoidable right?
Fated doesn't give us the cliché Usagi who only cares about food. Instead of that she gives us a teenager who sees and feels more than the others. This Usagi knows what she feels but she also knows her role as Sailor Moon and as the protector of the princess. But there are still so many questions in her mind and the discovery of the princess doesn't give her answers. Instead of that she only gets more questions.
Maybe you don't understand why I mention this different kind of characterization for Usagi but believe me this is new. In the 90s there was a huge group of people who hate Usagi and often misinterpret her character. She was nothing more than a dumb and lazy girl who only cares about food and her boyfriend. So a realistic look into Usagis character and her feelings for Mamoru and her Inner Scouts is definitly something new and worth a rec.
Together with this amazing portrayal of Usagi we also see a new, different side of the relationship between Usagi and Minako. They need to trust each other but in the real nothing is so easy.
These new interpretations of Usagi and the relationship between Minako/Usagi/Mamoru is basically the reason for my recommendation. I really hope more people will start to write such an Usagi.
--> They say that they have been walking up to this particular moment. They talk too much about memories when the truth still remains there and with her.
Sequel: The half-written fairytale (LJ)
--> It's as simple as this: she begins where he ends and she ends where he begins. But she is the only one that can undo the knots. (PG)
