Why this must be read:
Well, I think this was one of the very first Clex stories that I read, way back when, and pursuit of Livia's stories led me to discover Livejournal--she even offered me my first icon. So this one gets the nostalgia vote, and the first slot. (Sorry for the late start; I've been having computer problems at home combined with a heavy work load so that I couldn't play online during the work day.) Why do I like this story? There are several reasons: It's sweet, first-time, early Clex, and awkwardly hot, and it takes me back to the time that the guys had a less complicated relationship, untainted by suspicion and conflicts. I like that this Lex isn't experienced in the big gay sex; I like the Secret being revealed. I like the talk about books; that's a kink of mine, plus it presages the future Reporter!Clark. Finally, I love the youthful, less cynical Lex voice, and how we see him make choices that will change both their futures.
