The Snow Queen, by L. R. Bowen (NC-17)
Fandom: STAR TREK: VOYAGER
Pairing: Janeway / Chakotay / Paris
Author on LJ: Unknown
Author Website: L. R. Bowen’s Fan Fiction
Why this must be read: This story is light, humorous, and sexy as hell. It starts with the cliché of three officers, trapped by unfriendly aliens on a cold planet. Of course, without clothes. Throw in some hurt/comfort, a number of daring escapes and brushes with death, and some great sex scenes in just about any combination of the characters that you could want, and you get a great story to curl up with on a crisp autumn night.
The developing relationships among the three characters, coupled with a bit of intriguing backstory, make this a much better story than the typical sex-romp, which I suppose it could be confused with. The author describes this work as “an adventure story with a strong tongue-in-cheek element and a highly sensual atmosphere”, and I think that description is quite apt.
