Why this must be read: Because it's Halloween, and this is my favorite Smallville Halloween story. Schmoopy and romantic, it's absolutely the least scary ghost story ever. It's sexy, but it's mostly…schmoopy and romantic. Clark and Lex and Lillian! Clever comfort fic that is actually good any time of year. I have told several other people about this story, only to find that they already had a copy clutched tight like a security blanket. I don't think the author knows how well-liked this story is--I certainly haven't told her directly how much I like it, because I am a bad person--but maybe now she'll have a hint ;)

Just as a thought, although Cleo's website is currently down, she uses her alternate LJ, fandomstuff as a site for all her new stories and manips, so it's the equivalent of a website.

Oh, and I'll heartily second the rec - it's one of my favourite comfort fics.
