Why this must be read:Because Pete and Lana eventually end up together but, as yet, TPTB have given us no way to believe this will actually happen. Hope does a beautiful job of giving Lana a personality along with a reason to talk to Pete that's not Clarkcentric. It's a charming, beautiful little (1000 words) story that foreshadows and fills in some gaps in characterization at the same time.
