Apologies for my lateness, but Fraser/Anyone but Ray month wouldn't be complete without this fic.

I never thought I'd be into this pairing - it completely surprised me all the way through. A Fraser who wants to be hurt meets a Joe Dick who's tired of hurting. Rough and painful but oh so good. This is a Fraser we never saw after Victoria's reappearance reopened scars covering his vulnerability and self-loathing, but should have. Most Due South crossovers that use source with Paul Gross or Callum Keith Reinne pair according to actor continuity, but "The Distance Between" presents a very unique pairing, in a stunningly plausible, sexy, sharp, and aching narrative.
