“Safety in Numbers” by Miss Roylott, AKA Cress (PG-13)

Fandom: SHERLOCK HOLMES
Pairing: Holmes/Watson/Helen Stoner (sorta)
Author on LJ: unknown
Author Website: Sacrilege!
Why this must be read:

What’s more appropriate for Halloween than a trick and a treat? This story is a spin on “The Adventure of the Speckled Band.” Several commentators have pointed out the brow-raising moment when Holmes tells his client, Miss Helen Stoner, “both my friend and I must spend the night in your room,” and neglects to mention that the lady need not be present. In Miss Roylott’s version, Helen wants...really, really wants...to stay and get close to Watson, much to the detective’s chagrin.

PS: Finally got something written on the Granada series. Will append to the overview forthwith.
