Why this <i>must</i> be read:

One of the first Bush/Hornblower stories I read. It does have sequels, but this does work as a stand alone. Set on the Hotspur during one of the interminable scouting missions up and down the French coast. Das T also does Bookverse stuff, so it's somewhat different than the movie verse slash. She doesn't overwhelm the reader with description, but captures your interest and heart immediately. One of the best depictions of Hornblower and Bush I've read yet. She really has the book!versions down.
