Although I could happily spend the rest of this month plugging Arcady's stories, I'm going to stop after this one. But I highly recommend all the fiction on her site: evocative mood pieces, more Holmes pastiches, and two linked novellas about Garak and Bashir which also explore Cardassian culture and history.

Haven't had time to read this story yet, but I've loved your previous recs and just wanted to let you know how happy I am that someone is finally reccing excellent Garak/Bashir. I've recently been introduced to the show on dvd by my girlfriend and it's rapidly become one of my absolute favourites. But my girl has been away from the fandom so long she doesn't know where to find the good stories anymore. Which means I'm thoroughly enjoying having someone point them out to me. ;) I'm looking forward to more!
