Moodrings-132 Celebrations of LoTRips by Annie and Circe_Tigana (various)
I'm
freedomfry, driver of the LoTRips
crack_van for the month of December. Lotrips first sunk me into the Special Hell of RPS, where I have been wallowing quite happily for the last two years. Viggo/Orlando was my gateway drug, Billy/Dom is where I spend the most time, but I will be reccing a variety of fics during this month, even including (gasp!) genfic of the gang.
And now, on with the first recommendation.
FANDOM: LoTRips
Pairing: various
Authors on LJ:
anniesj and
circe_tigana
Authors' websites: Circe is Words Left Unsaid, although it holds mostly her work in Buffy, Pirates and Once Upon a Time In Mexico--her most recent stuff is in her LJ memories; Annie's work is saved in her LJ memories.
Why this must be read:
I checked the
crack_van's memory cache three times just to be sure that this hadn't been recommended yet because I couldn't believe it wasn't here. What
anniesj and
circe_tigana have done with this series of short stories is nothing short of amazing. Taking the 132 moods that LJ provides us with to express our feelings, Circe and Annie have written what I believe to be one of the most comprehensive and fantastic looks into LoTRips. Their series covers the range of emotions (from "accomplished" to "worried"), all of the characters involved in the movies (from Elijah to Andy to Liv to Peter) and every pairing that you could be possibly want to read. It has even spawned a LoTRips custom mood theme, which I'm sure you've seen if you've spent any time at all in the LoTRips corner of LJ.
If you haven't read anything in LoTRips, this is the perfect place to start. If you're a veteran in the fandom, this is a great friend to visit again.
