Why this must be read: Occasionally, fanfiction has to go to dirty, wrong places. That’s what this story does – Caleb is Kirsten’s real estate mogul father, and his interest in Ryan is not benign. This is set in an undetermined future when Ryan works as an architect for the Newport Group, Caleb’s company.

An excerpt:

Once the clients left the room, there was much backslapping and handshaking. This was an important client, and they had almost lost them. Caleb put his arm around Ryan's shoulders. "Good job."

Ryan smiled back at Caleb. But Caleb let his arm linger just a little bit too long, and gave Ryan's shoulder a squeeze that felt … off. Then the moment passed and Caleb was off congratulating someone else, and Ryan wondered if he'd imagined it.
