'I Know What You Are' and 'We're not What You Think' by Mo (NC-17)
Fandom: X-MEN MOVIEVERSE
Pairing: Scott/Logan
Author on LJ:none that I'm aware of
Author Website:MoFic
Why this must be read: I admit, when I signed up to rec X-men, I did so mainly so I could rec this series.
So I never really saw the slash between Logan and Scott in the comics. I mean sure it'd be hot, and yeah I can see how they might do it as part of their endless pissing contest, but it didn't really strike me as anything that could be more than a smoking hot PWP. That is,until I saw X1, and Mardsen brought the slash.
The chemistry between the two of them broke my fragile little mind and after I was through hiding my face in shame for not seeing it sooner, I trolled the internet for Scott/Logan from X1. I found a lot of it, but none of it stayed with me like these.
This series examines how Logan and Scott might end up in a relationship and then how they might deal with that relationship. What I especially like is how human Scott feels. My only complaint with Mardsen was that he really didn't bring anything but the slash and cheekbones to the role and that's improved upon here. Not improved so much that he feels like a completely different person but improved upon in the sense that you believe this is what was really going on, there just wasn't enough time to fit it all into the movie.
I adore the characterization of both men. Wolverine, so terribly flawed and yet wanting to do right and Scott, trying so desperately to be the man he's always wanted to be. He's got a past and skeletons in his closet and they both flesh eachother out so well.
I highly recommend reading all of the stories in the series (it's quite long, I'd recommend setting aside a day or so). They tend to get a bit involved toward the end in Original characters but they still remain extremely enjoyable reads(and have NORTHSTAR!).

good rec! ^_^
Re: good rec! ^_^
I agree with your opinion that he should have had more to do. The most interesting thing about Scott is how he balances being the perfect team leader with being a man of flesh and faults. Singer didn't so anything with that and it's his loss (as well as ours).
One thing I must commend Mardsen for is how physical he made the 'rivalry' between Scott and Logan. The chemistry between them is excellent and I'm glad that he was able to capture the tension between them so well. Not only does it allow us slashers to give it our spin, it also stays true to the established comics relationship between them.
