Another lovely Janeway tale from the master, this story has its roots in an event from TNG. Written long before "Equinox" was ademonic twinkle in TPTB's eye, "The Road Not Taken" explores the premise of Voyager encountering another Starfleet vessel in the DQ, and Janeway being forced to reevaluate some of her decisions as a result. As always, m.c. combines great characterization complete with an interesting and well-developed plot.
