Dear loyal crack_van readers: I am so, so sorry for my general absence this month. Real life came up and bit me on the butt. Saturdays in the lab, etc. But I figure there's a couple of hours til midnight, so I can get a few stories in.

This is the story I would totally have posted for Crossover Wednesday if I'd been on top of things (and it had been posted *cough*). amireal has been teasing me with bits of this for weeks, and it's hilarious. Sheppard and McKay find themselves in another universe. Which they recognize. From TV. But wait, there's more! In addition to the crack (competitive geekiness, borrowed uniforms, clashing physical laws...), there's also emotional depth. McKay and Sheppard bring along all their baggage from the season one finale/season two premiere, and the Enterprise crew supplies the Saurian brandy.
