Why this must be read: This is a wonderful futurefic with elements from both Smallville and the Justice League. I love this story because it has an engrossing plot and an original resolution of the rift, plus it has kinda-evil Lex which is always, always a bonus, especially when he's not the main bad-entity in town and he ends up being all heroic.

Livia's just left me a message saying the story will be down for about a week, and that it isn't posted anywhere else. Sorry about that--I hadn't realised I was linking to a super-sekrit unbetaed version of the story.

I'm leaving the rec up, though, so you should be able to find the story easily once Livia's done with her edit.

Hiya - um - I'm really flattered that you recced me, *especially* Manifest Destiny since I never actually posted it anywhere, but the thing is, there's some glitches in the file you linked to that I never actually got around to smoothing out. I'll try to get the story back up in the next week or so-- I'm really sorry about harshing the rec like that, but it's just, I *really* need to fix those couple of things before everybody and their sister reads the story. ^_^ I guess this will teach me to be the ultimate procrastinator when it comes to editing. I promise I'll get the story edited and up again *soon*.

I'm so sorry to have put you all aflutter like that! I had no idea I was linking to an unfinished version of the story. That'll teach me not to feedback authors, won't it? :) God, how did I even *find* the story? I can't even remember now. It's a mystery!

I've added a note to the rec letting people know the story is temporarily offline. If you don't mind letting me know when you've finished the re-write, I'll update the rec again then.

The story's great, btw. I'm very much looking forward to reading the revised version.

Hahaha. I feel slightly better now about reccing the story now. Procrastination is central to the fannish way of life, isn't it? I'm not so bad with editing myself, but WIPs are my doom. :)
