Why this must be read:

I love crossovers, so it was really difficult for me to narrow down the choices for this rec. I labored for hours rereading fics to ensure that I rec'ced my favorite. All that hard work I had to do for this...

This is a well-written Chase!centric fic. It was written for the duerbp ficathon, and this was one of the best pieces to come out of it. Chase wakes up after the events involving the Statue of Liberty, and strange things start to happen around him.

The fic is only about 18,000 words, and was written so that those with no knowledge of X-men verse would have no difficulty.

I should point out that the events take place after Alakali Lake in X-Men 2 and not the Statue of Liberty from X-Men.
