Why this must be read:
The majority of Garak/Bashir fics portray Garak as the dominant partner, while Bashir is cast as the inexperienced newcomer to hot man-on-man action. The First Time reverses these roles, and creates a very different yet utterly believable version of this pairing. Olivia Monteith also captures all of the overwhelming emotions and physical sensations of a 'first time', and balances them with gentle humour and witty dialogue.
