Why this must be read:
Sherlock is the first fandom I've ever been in where writers have taken the assertion of asexuality of one of the characters and positively RUN with it. There is an amazing bounty of fics portraying asexual characters in this fandom (yes, that's characterS with an S). Many of these stories are incredibly romantic, too (yes, someone can be asexual but not aromantic). This is one such story. It gives me fuzzy feelings and the Sherlock PoV is just lovely.
