Why this must be read:
As is usual this time of year, in the last month or so many delightful holiday-themed stories have shown up in this fandom. Meet-the-parents fic and holiday fic are my secret delights, so I will be posting a few of those that I think are the very best of the genre over the next few days. Just because I can. :D
This story has all of the tropes that I really enjoy -- like "they all think we're gay, omg!" and silly relatives and relationship misunderstandings and "the evil ex" -- that can sometimes be really obvious and stereotypical, and yet the author manages to make everything about this story endearing and warm. The writing is top-notch and in-character and I adore the details about Sherlock's family that the author gave us. This is a lovely fic to sink into with a hot cup of tea and a piece of holiday fudge. Enjoy!
