Author Website: I am unaware of whether this author has their work archived somewhere or not (please comment and I'll link to it, if there is a place), but more of their stories can be found on their LiveJournal under the fanfic tag.
Why this must be read:
This story is told from Sherlock's point-of-view through his unreliable, sociopathic perspective as he tries to figure out just why John Watson is so fascinating to him. I adore stories where he's a dark, scary man (and John likes him because of it, not in spite of it). Warnings for violence, dark thoughts, and blood/knife play.

I began reading this, really loving it. And then:
When Sherlock was ten he took apart the neighbor's cat because he wanted to know what was inside.
Thanks for the nightmares I know I'll be having tonight. :( Next time, warn please.

That's OK. It's probably silly to get upset over one line in a story that's not even a graphic description. But... my imagination runs away with me. *sigh*
