Why this must be read:
I love this story. We get a complex background for Sherlock and his relationship angst, we get a rather awesome young Mycroft, and we get a John who is just amazingly awesomely spectacularly the best friend to Sherlock EVER. This is, to me, the penultimate John-meets-the-family fic, with family angst and love and everything. This has some dark themes implied in it like underage rape, but it also has cutely fluffy pretend!sex in Welsh. Yes. I want to cuddle this story so much. I highly, highly recommend it.

cloudtrader: I'm not sure how many recs you've got to go on your Small Fandom December Reccing Spree, but I just wanted to say thank you so much for reccing so many fantastic stories. I've not yet got into the fandom (though loved the up-to-date series) and this has been a brilliant introduction to it.

Fortunately for my own obsession, when you rec for Small Fandom Month, you are not limited to the normal 12 rec limit, so I can rec as much as my heart desires for the rest of the month! Mwhahahah. Ahem. I have a self-imposed limit of two a day, though, so probably only 6 more or so. Maybe. If I can find my restraint.

I'm really glad you're enjoying the recs! There is SO MUCH good fiction coming out of this relatively new fandom, it's hard to know where to start. I do wish I could find some more good casefile fic or het, though, but what can you do. *shrugs* Thanks for taking the time to comment! Makes me feel that all this reccage has been worthwhile. ^_^

I just wanted to add my kudos! I am in love with the show (I got the DVDs for xmas-yay!- now I own them legally!) and I've so enjoyed all the stories you've recced.

My birthday is Wednesday and my plan for celebrating this year is to force as many people as I can to watch the three episodes with me, and then likely stay up all night reading fic! I haven't gotten totally into the fandom as of yet; most of the stories I've read have been the ones you recced (or the ones written or recced by people on my flsit). So thank you! You have made my month much brighter.
