Why this must be read:
While a rare pairing, there does seem to be an unusually high amount of incest fic in the Sherlock fandom, possibly because Mycroft and Sherlock are just so DIFFERENT from normal people. In this fic, Mycroft does something he's never done before -- he makes a mistake. That mistake costs someone his life and the result is that Mycroft is shattered. Sherlock puts him back together. The writing is in-character and evocative, bringing a subtle depth of feeling to both brothers, emotionally stunted though they are. Highly recommended!
