So many reasons to read this story. Let's see--I like the stories that explore Sherlock's past, and this one features Mummy Holmes. Also, "Friends to lovers" and "Everybody thinks they're doing it" are two fun tropes in this fandom.
But the best reason to read this story is the fabulous, witty dialog. I love the John/Sherlock banter and interaction in this, and Sherlock's snide commentary on life in the country made me laugh. And the first time is hot, and so very in character.
