My Very Existence is a Monument by elishabet aka Snow (Gen)
Fandom: Fairy Tales: Aladdin (Disney)
Pairing/Characters: Aladdin/Jasmine; OFC, Abu, Carpet, Genie, Sultan, Jafar
Length:
Author Website: at AO3
Why this must be read: Excerpt: "Fact: My father left before I remember, and my mother died when I was two. Fact: All underfed children look similar, and when people see 'scruffy' they think 'male'. Fact: It's easier to be a young man on the streets of Agrabah than it is to be a young woman."
So, what if Aladdin was born a boy in the body of a female? How different would the tale have gone? Written for LGBT Fest, we see life through Aladdin's eyes and, through them, the Disney movie takes on a whole new view. Enjoy.
