Why this must be read:

The Hiatus answers the daunting question fans everywhere have been torturing themselves with during the year and a half since *Nsync's last group tour. Namely, what do *Nsync do when they're not being *Nsync?

According to bitterchick, at least, the answer is: bitch, moan, have a ton of ill-advised sex, write thinly-veiled songs of hate, make embarrassing public appearances, and generally be endearingly petty. And what's not to love in that, eh? A devilishly energetic, funny little story that captures all the ridiculousness and extremes of what we've seen of the guys in the press lately. The source of some of my favorite popslash fic lines.


This story name drops like...well, like a Hilton sister. (Ha! See, I can do it, too.) Many people to go through here and so, without further ado:

Who/What is...?

1. Wade. Britney. John Edwards. AJ, Brian, Howie, Kevin, and Nick. Jane Carter. Eminem. Janet Jackson. David Kreiff. Dallas. Pharrell.

2. Johnny is *Nsync's current manager and president of Wright Entertainment Group (WEG). Melinda is one of his employees, who seemingly does a million things from representing the boys to organizing their yearly charity events. Freddie is Lance's...uh...special friend.

I have to agree - this story is priceless.

but what I've wanted to say for a couple weeks now is how wonderful these recs are. the way you set things up, and remind me of the choicest parts, is fabulous. I <3 your recs; they brighten my day at work, even if I can't take time to read the fic again.

Hee! It's so hilarious, isn't it? Johnny's little breakdown in the middle -- "Oh but they'll call me twice a day and cry into the phone babbling about 'ten years' and 'mouse solidarity', whatever the hell that is." -- absolutely kills me. That speech is one of those favorite popslash lines I mentioned in the rec.

Thank you so much for the compliment! I've had an absolute blast putting these recs together -- getting all the links, quotes, images and such together taps into that extremely dorky part of me that used to like to put together school presentations. Getting to reread all the stories is, of course, a minor benefit, too. Just a minor one, though. ;)

Lance has a new...special friend now.

Oy. I'm always behind on the Lance gossip, man! I tend to get distracted by the shiny blondeness of his pictures whenever I "read" articles about him and never quite seem to make it to the actual text. Does this...*ahem*...friend have a name? BTW, I'll be your friend forever if you tell me it's, like, Billy Corgan. I always thought Lance should date some highly inappropriate rock star.

Hey, glad you enjoyed it so much! It's such a good story. I'm valiently resisting the urge to just quote it endlessly here in lieu of making actual comments, 'cause nothing I say is gonna be as funny as that story.
