Why this must be read: Because it's one hundred words of complete and utter silliness. The concept is bizarre, but it just fits so perfectly. Plus, I just can't say no to any incarnation of Stark, especially when he's at his demented finest.

A giggle-worthy little piece, short and perfect. Poor Neo has my deepest sympathies.

(A word of warning: this fic will make little-to-no sense to people who a) haven't seen the fourth-season ep 'John Quixote', and b) don't have much knowledge of Farscape actors' other roles.)

Why this must be read: Most of Pythia's stories are also action adventure with a good helping of hurt/comfort, and make inventive use of Greek mythology. All are original and well-plotted, drawing on history, fantasy, and science fiction elements to place the characters in rich well-described settings. In "The Spoils of War," Iolaus is captured by a harpy and Hercules has to rescue him. But things aren't quite that simple. (Be sure to look for the "next" button at the bottom of the page to go to the next part of the story. It's a bit hard to find on the first try, especially if you're me.)

Why this must be read: This author's fanfic was written during early season one, when the show was brand new, and she has a really good grasp of the characters. Heart-breaking and real, they really catch your attention. You should read the author's other fics, too. There is also a sequel to this fanfic.

"Has anyone been able to access any injuries yet?" the same paramedic asked.

"Not yet. We’ll have to do it on the way to the hospital. We need to get him transported now." Dr. Abbott suddenly took charge of the situation.

"Dr. Brown, would you like to ride with us?" the paramedic asked.

Again, Andy only nodded his head.

A little worried about Dr. Brown’s silence, Edna placed her hand on his shoulder and softly asked. "Doc, you okay?"

Glancing up, he stared into Edna’s eyes for only a brief moment before he looked away. She knew there were no words that could possibly describe what he was feeling. No words were needed. Dr. Brown’s tears said it all.

I'm a sucker for Simon/Inara fic, but even were that not so I would recommend this alluring fic. Written in an incontestably accurate Inara voice, it has some great insights into Inara, Simon and even into the relationship between Mal and Inara.

With especially skillful word choice, it paints an appealing picture of what a relationship between Simon and Inara might be like.

Why this must be read:

Over the past few weeks, I've become quite fond of post- Starsky vs. Hutch stories, and I liked this one a lot.

It seems Starsky has been a bit bitchy, post-Kira, and Hutch wants to know why. Hmm, could it be you slept with his girlfriend, Blondie? Or could it be you have a deep, dark secret and that's why you didn't want to see your partner with someone else? We shall see. Though, to his credit, Hutch is very, very sorry he slept with Kira.

"Starsky, please…don't go. We can work this out. I am so sorry."


Starsky ain't having it, though.

"Now, you're sorry. Geez, Hutchinson, in all the years we've known each other and you've pulled some pretty shitty things on me in the past, this is the first time I think you're really are sorry. But, it's too late. Save it. You crossed the line this time…"

Hutch refuses to accept that his buddy won't forgive him, so he pushes and pushes until Starsky has to resort to rather physical means to get his point across.

I love a good fight, and this story doesn't disappoint. No, they don't go at it Krystle and Alexis style, but a few punches are thrown, tackles are attempted, all which leads to... somebody straddling somebody, and Starsky shows his hand:

"Yeah, I finally figured it out…dumb 'ol Starsky. Too blind to see the forest cause of the trees…now get off of me before I hit you again."

Oh, damn. The closet door just flew open.

This is a hot and daring story, walking the fine line of what's consensual... is he taking or being allowed to take? Is this what they both want, or is the other being dragged where he wanted to go anyway? Ah, what a conundrum. (Or not)

Starsky knew that Hutch had wanted him like this for awhile. Hutch sleeping with Kira had been the last straw in their tense relationship of the last couple of months. That betrayal had forced him to finally deal with his feelings of jealously in seeing Hutch with Kira. Coming out of her bedroom…buttoning his shirt. Shit…it still hurts to think about it...

This story captures the hurt and betrayal Starksy felt, while bringing it all down to what matters most...

He's mine, no one else's… Not Gillian's, not Vanessa's, but mine. Kira can't touch us now. She could never give you this, pal. You went wild.

Yeah, baby.

I can just see this happening post-ep, and that, at least IMHO, makes a good story.


Aftermath
