Why this must be read: I love crossovers. This is not a big shock if you've ever talked to me for more then 5 seconds. This fic is one of my favorite new fics that came out of bandombigbang this year. Witty, funny, sweet and down right frantic in some places. The title says what it is. A Bus Race between My Chemical Romance, Fall Out Boy, Panic At Disco (just Brendon and Spencer) And The Young Veins (just Ryan and Jon). The Top Gear boys are in great voice in this fic.

Here's the summary just so you can see what I mean.

One night, on a whim, Gerard sends an email to Top Gear asking if he can be a guest on their show. After one week, a dozen more emails and a three-way phone call with Richard Hammond and Pete Wentz, he's invented a new motorsport instead.

This fic covers the events of the First Annual Cross Country Tour Bus Race, including Pete Wentz getting kicked off his own bus, Panic and the Veins swapping members four times, and ending with a concert where the winner plays the final set and the band in last place plays a song in the nude.

Even if you have never seen an episode of Top Gear (she has a primer as well), this fic is a touring fic, a band fic and a general good time.

Each part is complete, and this one can stand alone, I promise. Also, the series is up to 55/80 at this point, and she updates regularly. This crossover is from early in the Borealis AU, and it is a scream.

Why this must be read: I wanted to end the month where I began, with the TCG being both lovable and creepy as hell. Here she is paired with another odd-ball slightly creepy secondary character in The Stig from Top Gear. Theirs is a match made in some sort of bizzaro alternate heaven. But tragedy can strike even there, and you grieve for what they have lost.

When Worlds Collide

Why this must be read: This story is written by two of my favourite Life on Mars writers and the summary reads thus; My name is Richard Hammond. I had an accident, and I woke up in 1973. Am I mad, in a coma, or back in time? Whatever's happened, it's like I've landed on a different planet. Now, maybe if I can work out the reason, Jeremy Clarkson will stop yelling in my head.

This story is funny and twisted and very much in the tone of a slightly crackier version of Life on Mars. It cleverly weaves the two shows and it is fantastically written, with some truly stunning lines.

Why this must be read:

SG1 has lost Major Carter - oops - and the aliens holding her insist that they take part in a race to get her back. So they need a driver. But just not any driver. They need the best. In fact, they need the Stig - test driver for BBC show Top Gear. Unfortunately for SG1 the Stig comes with three motoring journalists attached, who aren't that keen on letting him go and have a really dodgy idea of the meaning of the words 'National Security'.

Although I think it works well even knowing only the Stargate half of the crossover, but - ( Top Gear? )

Usually SG1 come across journalists that are intent on unveiling government secrets and it's really funny to watch their increasing exasperation - Jack's especially - as they struggle to deal with attitudes that are less 'Wow, that guy's an alien' and more 'Wow, look at that guy's car'. The author really nails the voices and attitudes of both groups - Teal'c and the Stig so would get on. And once the story's initial premise is accepted it's an amusing look at the Stargate-verse from an outsider view.

And the Doctor Who crossover? Well, it turns out that 'The' is a really popular first name on Gallifrey.
