This particular story is a wonderful extended epilogue to 'And I Want Some Candy and a Gun That Shoots' along with a stand alone story in its own right. Crossover day - well, well, well.... Fandom: MAN FROM U.N.C.L.E/HAWAII FIVE-0 Pairing: Gen Author on LJ: unknown Author Website: www.solosojourn.com Why this must be read: Gina has an impressive body of Man from U.N.C.L.E. fanfic on her site, all gen, at angst and violence levels that vary from fluff to heartwringers. Among them, she has written several crossovers, some more extreme than others; there's one with UNCLE, Five-0, Bionic Boss, Magnum PI, Tour of Duty in Vietnam and Hawaii, for example. But I keep returning to her straightforward Hawii Five-0 crossovers because I love her depiction of McGarrett and Danno, and to this story in particular because she sets Napoleon at cross-purposes with his old friend Steve. I was introduced to Man from U.N.C.L.E. via the Ace books, and her style in this tale reminds me of them - but better written and more consistent with the on-screen characterization.
