08:58 am Friday Night Drive-In!
Attn. Drivers: Tomorrow's the last Friday of the month, which means it's time for Friday Night Drive-In, a.k.a. Fan Vid Recs.

Reccers may post 1 vid rec for their fandom, formatted as follows:

Subject Line: VID REC: Fandom - Song Title

Vidder:
Musical artist:
Pairing:
Vidder on LJ:
Vidder's website:
Why this vid kicks ass:

Because the vidder community has some unique ownership issues, it’s important that reccers be extra careful when making vid recs. Depending on the vidder’s preferences regarding public access to their work, please link your rec in the appropriate manner:

1. If the video is publicly accessible, direct link to the web page the vid is linked on, or if it’s the vidder’s request, to the HTML splash page of their site.

or…

2. Link to the site with instructions on acquiring the password, if the site is protected – do not reveal the password yourselves.

or…

3. Provide contact info for the vidder if their vids are only available privately (tapes, dvd-R’s, collections, etc.).

Do not:
Hotlink, i.e. link directly to the video file rather than the webpage.
Re-upload videos that a vidder has removed from the web.
Delay in removing a vid rec if requested to do so by the vidder.

Thank you!

06:57 pm Dissecting Justice. by Min (NC-17 for violence, no sex)
Fandom: BLAKES 7
Pairing: None
Author on LJ: Unknown
Author Website: Nova Write, part of An Nova Site
Why this must be read: Another Post Gauda Prime story from Vila's point of view (first person this time), where the Scorpio Crew have survived but as prisoners of the Federation. This time the action takes place almost immediately after theend of the final series episode, and it's even harsher than 'Cross The Border'. Extreme hurt with no comfort in sight.

Dissecting Justice.

On the same site is the Marian Mendez penned sequel, for those wanting a happier ending: True Justice

Why this must be read: Going to rec a couple of stories written specifically for a site I maintain. Mainly because this, and the other, count as damn good femslash stories from authors who don't normally dabble in those waters. Not going to reveal the identity of the other woman in this, as finding out is an important part of the story. But it does cover two of the qualities I like about B7 fics -- that minor characters can come into their own, and that meeting up with an old friend (or friend of a friend) invariably leads to trouble.

Fandom: X-FILES
Pairing: Mulder/Scully Mulder/Skinner Mulder/Krycek
Author on LJ: [livejournal.com profile] bettyp
Author Website: Hth
Why this must be read:

Three different point of views of Mulder, that reveal as much about the narrators as about their subject. The emotion builds through each story, increasing from almost indifferent observation, to the most intimate fantasies.

11:09 pm Infamous by Youngjeune (NC-17)
Fandom: OZ
Pairing: Beecher/Keller
Author on LJ: none
Author Website: none
Why this must be read: The story, the story and the story. A wonderful plot for this AU story where Keller works undercover for the FBI... It's a breathtaking thriller (5 chapters) and you'll be worried until the end, because Youngjeune is especially good at that. Dangerous characters and our heroes' life are at stake. It is wonderfully sensual too; the sex scenes are a real delight; simple, efficient, and HOT.

a quote HERE ) Mmmm. I love it. It gives me a deep feeling of accomplishment.
