High time to continue these recs! I've already recced stories based on Michael Biehn's characters from The Terminator and Aliens, so I thought the next should be about Lt. Hiram Coffey from the movie The Abyss, the third movie Michael made with James Cameron at the wheel.
Fandom: MICHAEL BIEHN CHARACTERS - Lt. Hiram Coffey from The Abyss
Pairing: none
Length: not very long

Fiction archive Warning: Coffey's thoughts about Lindsey Brigman aren't exactly flattering.
Why this must be read: The movie The Abyss stops rather abruptly - an ending many hold against it. But in Tarlan's story, that ending suddenly turns interesting when she explores what might have happened after. She does that exploring through the POV of... Lt. Hiram Coffey. How is that possible, you might ask, because didn't he die? Actually, reading her story it suddenly isn't farfetched at all that he might still be around.
Her story isn't like the movie, all action, but very introspective and facing questions like 'is it ever right to kill?' This all through the thoughts of a man trying to come to grips with a psychosis and what that madness made him do.
