Why this must be read:Sci/Fi – fantasy shouldn't work for 80's lads out of England but for some reason it really does. In many shape and forms, Bodie and Doyle find themselves in many times and places. . . brilliantly. This author is a master at the lad's voices and you hear them even though Doyle is half alien. I love this author, her attention to little details that are integral aspects of Bodie and Doyle fit in seamlessly into this foreign world. Jump in for an adventure that captures the lads as well as your attention.

Length: 25210 words

Why this must be read: - Blair is kidnapped by a group of Chopek and taken to Peru; Sunacha, the Chopek shaman, has seen in a vision that Blair is in danger... from Jim. Meanwhile, back in Cascade, Simon tells Jim that Vice and Homicide both want Blair after he finishes the Academy, and he intends suggesting to Blair that he accept one of those options rather than join Major Crime, because it is so clear that for some reason Jim resents Blair. And then Jim realizes that Blair is missing...

Shedoc has set up a situation here where the Chopek are rebuilding Blair's self-confidence, eroded as it has been by Jim's attitude, while at the same time Jim has to realize that to Blair he is more than just 'the sentinel', the object of his studies; that their relationship really is about friendship; that the one person he can trust is Blair.

Why this must be read:
I pretty much have to recommend just about everything by this author. Te has shaped how I see the characters of many of my favorite fandoms simply by the amazing way she portrays them. Her characterization is always deep, and this is no exception. This story is much shorter than her usual fare, but I am still continually amazed by how much of a punch it packs. This is one of my "comfort" reads, not because it is all that comforting a story, because it most emphatically is not, but because of how dang well it is written.

This piece is a epilogue to the movie X-Men 2 involving Sergeant Lamb (aka - Methos) and Yuriko (aka - Lady Deathstrike in the comics). It's a coda story that awakens your imagination for what will happen next. HIGHLY recommended, like all of Te's work.

Pairing: Napoleon/Angelique

Why this must be read: Given the same initiating circumstances, how differently would each of the two agents respond to a particular mission situation?

The author describes it as a "Chinese fire drill". With Angelique as the antagonist in both scenarios, in the first take Illya is hurt and Napoleon provides the comfort, and in the second take the roles are reversed with Napoleon hurt and Illya providing the comfort.

The differences of personality between our two guys are captured beautifully by the author in this duet of similar scenes. Simply because the guys are so different, the details of the scenarios wind up very different as well.
