Somehow strangeumbrella has taken a totally cracky premise and turned it into a heartfelt love story between a young man and his mobile phone.  This fic also has one of the best written break up scenes in the whole of the LoM fandom.

What if it didn't work out between the Human/Time Lord metacrisis Doctor and Rose in that alternate universe? What if that Doctor came back and to Sarah Jane and became something of a father to Luke? This story is a gorgeous telling of just that, plus with added wacky hijinks and multiple plots that read like they were written for the show itself. This is fun, fluffy fanfic at it's finest. This is the first story in the "A Life of Their Own" series and I highly recommend it.

Why this must be read:

This story was written for the 2010 A-Team Secret Santa exchange by one of my favorite H/F writers, johnnywalkerblu. She focuses on a long-term, loving relationship between Hannibal and Face without compromising any of their canon characteristics - ie, badass Army Rangers. It’s often difficult to find A-Team slash that can achieve this balance between sweet and tough, but she pulls it off beautifully.

This particular story is a cut scene from the movie, set between when Hannibal breaks Face out of prison in Florida, and when the two of them rescue BA from the transport van in California. For those of you who’ve seen the movie, Hannibal and Face clearly have some things to work out after the events of the jailbreak, and how better to do that than in a sleeping bag under a starry sky? Enjoy!
