Why this must be read: Actions, images, thoughts and
sensations are seamlessly interwoven in this story. A lightsaber training
duel becomes a reflection of verbal thrusting and parrying, while the
physical effort is a reflection of emotional tension between
Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan. You can't help prolonging the pleasure of reading
this, at least I couldn't, while anxious to know what's ahead. I like the
pace of this story and the subtly erotic way it ends, giving us a taste of
what's to come. This story is part of the
Living
Force Q/O zine series.

beneath his feet, tall windows so benign in these last minutes before dawn,
the Force so rich here, he could feel it caress his spirit.
On the tips of his toes, he felt even taller, a celebration of his height,
no apology, no stooping down for the comfort or dignity of others, just this
honest reaching and stretching. He thrust his lightsabre forward, the green
edge skimming, tingling, along the length of Obi-Wan's.
"Enjoying yourself, Master?" Obi-Wan asked him, mirroring his move, 'sabre a
humming blur in the dark.Sword
