Why this must be read: I’m in love with Theresa. I’m not afraid to admit it. In the first season of the show there weren’t any female characters that I could remotely understand. Then Theresa came along and I was just in love. Although she is not used as much as she should be in older pieces of Ryan’s past, this story brings to life the relationship Ryan and Theresa shared during “The Goodbye Girl” and after.

The details flutter to life you cannot help but feel saddened for all the things Theresa has had to give up, including Ryan. It’s rare to find a story that expresses in great detail Ryan’s feelings for Theresa.

This is a gem, filled with details and emotions that bring to life a romance that otherwise would be left unseen.

I have this guilty pleasure, it's Lex/Chloe. Most of my favorite stories I've discovered I lost track of. But this one by Viv is still available.

AU. Future fic. Cute, fluffly story. An exchange of emails between Chloe and Lex during one summer changes many things.

You can ignore the Clana and focuse on the Chlex. I find Lex and Chloe fascinating when done right. This story is more flowers and ribbons.

Why this must be read: This time I’m pimping one of Mort’s terrific stories, I Voyager. Mort does a fantastic job of getting inside Tom’s mind or what’s left of it. You see the EMH has gone mad and integrated Tom and himself with Voyager. How do you escape a mad hologram that is part of the ship and can watch your every move? This one was a real page turner for me; I read it in no time flat and could hardly step away from the screen.

It was the event which kick-started a hundred slash stories; Justin and Britney breaking up. One Hundred Days is a lovely gentle story which follows JC as he watches Justin recuperate - rather charmingly missing the fact that their relationship is changing.

One Hundred Days is technically the middle of a trilogy but it can be read as a stand-alone.

A lovely, lovely story and one which rewards rereading. I think this was among the first popslash fics I read and I just adore it.

I love stories which give you wonderful believable background and this is a fantastic example. This is Justin pre-Nsync, just having met Chris and just about to meet up with JC to tell him about Chris's idea for a group. This is Justin on the cusp of child and adolescent and more than anxious about seeing JC for the first time after the MMC ended.

Gorgeous characterisation and there's a fantastic flow to the story as well. Kaelie's a great writer and she nails Justin's voice in this.

Rhys's name keeps coming up again and again and with good reason. She's a fantastic writer and she combines excellent characterisations with believable first-time plots. *pauses for a small fangirl moment*

What I love about these two stories is not just because it's Justin/JC and Chris/Lance or that Justin is completely oblivious or that Lance is sharp and bright and much smarter than anyone gives him credit for. It's something to do with how she writes them. Somehow, she makes them real.

Stargate: Atlantis started life as a spin-off from the popular TV Show Stargate SG-1 and is just about to complete its first season, which has shown in Canada, is two episodes from the season closer in the UK and well past the half way mark in the US. ( The Premise )

For more information on the show, the best sites are SciFi's own site and the ever informative Gateworld. Chevron Nine serves the same purpose but is solely Atlantis focused. There's also the Stargate Links Command site, which includes a number of Stargate: Atlantis sites, and Chevron 26 includes quite an impressive links database too.

For fanfiction, probably the biggest site is Wraithbait, which has a slash skew as it is attached to the Wraithbait slash mailing list. However, it also contains a number of het and gen stories, with the number of these growing as word spreads on het and gen lists. It accepts all types of stories - gen, het and slash - and all pairings, and currently contains over 400 stories.

There's also Atlantica, which is a fanlisting and fandom site, with a growing archive. It's skewed towards het and gen, although again it accepts all types of stories, but is smaller, containing about 100 stories.

PegasusGate.net and Area 52 are the slash only archives, with Area 52 containing fiction for both of the Stargate shows. There's also Heliopolis's Atlantis wing, which is het and gen only and about the same size as Atlantica.

If you're aware of any major archives I've left out, please feel free to leave the information in the comments to this entry. And finally, as always, there's Fanfiction.net, but unfortunately there is, as yet, no viable search function that lets you search by pairing.

In terms of LJ, there is a proliferation of Atlantis communities, but my favourites are:
