01:00 pm Servant by Inlovewithnight (PG)
Fandom: BATTLESTAR GALACTICA 2003
Pairing: Lee Adama & Laura Roslin
Author on LJ: [livejournal.com profile] inlovewithnight
Author Website: Exaggeration and Blank Verse
Why this must be read:

I love the complexity of the relationship between Lee Adama and Laura Roslin; the give and take, the fierce but precarious interdependence. [livejournal.com profile] inlovewithnight embraces that complexity and explores the many facets of the question, "what do they see in each other?" The answer is as layered, nuanced and beautiful as the characters themselves.

01:04 pm On Studio B, a Cricket Bat, and a Kiss, by Marguerite (PG)
Fandom: SPORTS NIGHT
Pairing: Dana/Casey
Author on LJ: [livejournal.com profile] megwriting
Author Website: Gray Area
Why this must be read:

This isn't simply a Dana/Casey fic. It's also a Dan fic, a Jeremy fic, and a little bit of a Jeremy/Natalie fic. In essence, it's Sports Night. Marguerite has the characters voices down exactly, and a plot worthy of the comic genius of the show itself, without forgetting that little bit of depth that makes it more than a fluffy romantic comedy.

01:31 pm "...And we will point the gun" by Ashlea Ensro (R)

Fandom: X-Files
Pairing: A bit of Mulder/Scully, mostly gen.
Author on LJ: Unknown
Author Website: http://www.geocities.com/Area51/Labyrinth/1495/ensro/gun.html
Why this must be read: Besides being the best Krycek's post-colonization POV ever? This made me read a history where Mulder and Krycek are not making out in any point of it and still read it again. It's astonishing. Go read this instant!

11:39 pm The Older Woman, by doyle (PG-13)
Fandom: BUFFY
Pairing: Joyce/Anya
Author on livejournal: [livejournal.com profile] doyle_sb4
Author's Website: Exit Seraphim

Why this must be read:

Anya isn't the vivacious twenty-year-old that she seems to be, and Joyce knows it. This is, perhaps, an odd pairing, unconventional, but through Joyce's point of view, Doyle shows both possible relationships between these two: with Joyce as the mother figure, advising Anya about her relationship with Xander, but also with Anya as the wise one, who's seen it all. The set up is sweet, and the payoff is well earned. The story is short, but a great view of both Joyce and Anya in early season four.
