Author Website: "Ana's Fiction"

Why this Must be read: This story shows exactly what Jayne and Simon are and it shows a very believable scheme that brings more than a little excitement into both men's lives. The way both are written make me grin in delight because I can see it being acted out in an episode.

Simon's looking at him, focused. It's eerie being looked at that hard; don't quite help that Simon's slightly smiling too. "You're just giving up?"

"It ain't gonna work, is it?"

And Simon shakes his head, still with that eerie smile on his face. "Not the way you're thinking. But I've got another idea."

Maybe it was a good idea to come to Simon. He grins. "Yeah?'

"Yes."

"And?"

Looking away, Simon picks up a scalpel, twirls it between his fingers. It's kinda mesmerizing to watch, flashing silver in the low infirmary light. "What do I get for it?"

Why this must be read:

One of the most disappointing things about the current run of Teen Titans is the fact that the characters never actually seem to have any fun.

Given that Gar, Kon, and Bart are on the team, Teen Titans should be a whole lot more entertaining than it is. This fic runs with that idea; the characters here are far more in-character than they have been in the past two years, and I laughed harder at this short story than I have at all of Teen Titans thus far.

Because, really -- Kon and Gar may be many things, but 'clean and pure' is not on the list, and I fully support fanfic that takes this into account.

Why this must be read:

A great combination of team fic and Jack/Daniel fic. Adventure, a bit of angst and romance, all well written. Long enough to be satisfying, but not too long. Really, you have to read this. It is wonderful.

Why this must be read:
I like stories that explore the mystical elements of The Sentinel universe. I like a sense of destiny. I'm a big sucker for meant to be. "Legend or Die" brings all this together beautifully. In a distant time, the sentinel Walks Contented protects The People with the help of his guide Farwalker. In modern-day Cascade, Jim and Blair wake, having had the same dream. This story is lyrically written, imaginative, a complete world brought vividly to life. Check out the companion piece too, Dream or Memory.

Why this must be read:

Tis the season! Starsky's decking the halls while Hutch watches. Hutch wants Starsky, and it turns out, Starsky wants Hutch, too. Hutch gets confused. Poor Hutch. The boys go through an excruciating yes/no, will they/won't they battle of emotions and reason before they finally suss out what they really want for Christmas.

"Maybe in Minnesota, guys don't know what it means when another guy looks at him like that, but on the streets of New York, they know, Blondie."

Author Website:CrossWords
Why this must be read: This sequel to the previously recommended Specter is an outstanding science fiction story that utilizes immortals' ability to live far into the future. The story is set on distant worlds where earth is just a legend. I found her take on Duncan's struggle with his dark side much more satisfying than the episode Deliverance. Sharon Cross's ability to create believable worlds and cultures, especially the miner colony of Triton is remarkable.

Why this must be read:

This was the first ever Pros story I read, and I'll never forget it. The fact that it hits two of my favourite categories is always a good start, though: h/c and first time. The thrills and the spills will have you sitting on the edge of your seat, the banter will have you smiling at the very least, and the sex will have you pressed up against the monitor. *grin* I love her way with banter and the way she weaves a story. Her descriptions, for me, always flow wonderfully, and I'm forever using that exact phrase when I send feedback. :P It's all true, though, and I can't find a better way of saying so.

It's as simple as all that really. This will always be a special story to me, and not just because it's the first Pros story I read. I think for me it was the perfect first story to read, and I just hope that if someone hasn't already read it they can find it now and enjoy it as much as I did, and will again each and every time I reread it. :)
