Why this must be read: I had a hard time picking one of Crimson's stories to rec. I finally got it down to two and picked this one because it had a little something extra. She calls it clothes!sex and that's what it is. But it's more than Gibbs and Tony too eager for each other to wait. It's calculated hunger in the way Gibbs knows how to wind up his lover. It's also hot enough to melt glass.

The lock had barely snicked shut behind them before Gibbs seized Tony by the hips and jerked him backwards. Tony laughed as he collided with Gibbs and Gibbs collided with the door. "I thought I was the impatient one," he teased, rubbing up against the lean, hard, body behind him.

"I've been patient all day," Gibbs said, turning his head so that his lips brushed Tony's ear. His hands slid around Tony's hips and reached down to cup his cock through his slacks. "Now I want to make you come."

Why this must be read:
Riley was never my favorite character, but I did think he had potential that was beginning to be realized toward the end of his story arc on Buffy. This story gives a believable picture of what might have happened if he had returned during the events of season 6. I especially like the portrayal of Xander and Spike in this story: Xander is a good guy; Spike is evil and detests Riley, just as in the show at this point.

Why this must be read:

Yeah, I am a die hard slasher.  Yeah, this story is het.  Yeah, it has an original female character.  But you know what? This story?  Well, it gets it right.

Everyone knows Buck loves women, and his friends often tease him about his so called "animal magnetism".  In this well written story we see why the women find it so easy to love our favorite scoundrel.   Crafted into the story are quick glimpses of the friendship that exists between Chris and Buck, a friendship that has managed to survive both time and tragedy.

There were a great many things that Buck Wilmington would rather be doing than going for a prisoner pickup. Most of them involved cold beer, a friendly turn of the cards, and maybe a warm pair of arms, to stave off the growing bite of Autumn. However, the chance for a leisurely ride with his oldest friend, Chris Larabee, on an afternoon that really was not at all bad, soon outweighed any dissatisfaction. The desert sky arched overhead in clear, cobalt blue, and the rhythmic jolt of a good horse's gait rocked beneath him. Burly white clouds billowed behind distant peaks, and the brisk kiss of newborn October brought the blood to a man's cheek. It really didn't get much better than this.

Why this must be read: Mulder's freaking out in the aftermath of a case that leaves Scully in the hospital, and Skinner helps him relax. I love the Skinner characterization in this story--how he's at turns captivated by Mulder and frustrated by him, gently loving and then paranoid. And Mulder, exhausted and strung-out, is a thing of beauty.

Mulder was pacing the squalid motel room like a caged coyote. The last one Skinner had seen outside of The Discovery Channel had been at a zoo, where it had moved as fretfully and with as much demented focus as Mulder did now, half mad with seething restlessness. This particular coyote was wearing running shorts and gleaming with sweat in the low, dancing light of one fat candle.
