I can't believe this is the author's first, and only, foray into Starsky and Hutch. Just when you think this story is going to dive into the predictable, it wrenches you into an entirely new emotional place: If you ask Starsky, he believes Simard is right. Ordering him to live, sounds like the kind of thing Hutch would do. But, Starsky doesn't really talk about it. Neither does Hutch. They both seem reluctant to look at this event too closely. It wasn't the first time, not by a long shot, that they'd skated right up to the edge of the abyss and looked down. But, it was the first time one of them had actually lost his footing.
So, they've grown up a little more. They know the price of the gift now, and they've felt the terror of free-fall. They both know the clock will run out someday. Hopefully, not for a long time. But it will. So, they'd just as soon not tamper with the works, because for now, it's running just fine.
Besides, when you're the stuff that legends are made of, you don't think about falling.

Fandom: TOUR OF DUTY Pairing: Sergeant Zeke Anderson/Captain Rusty Wallace Author on LJ: majorbratAuthor Website: Notes From the UndergroundWhy this is a must read: Although Sergeant Zeke Anderson and Lieutenant Myron Goldman are by far the most popular pairing, there is a whole platoon of fantastic looking guys in Tour of Duty to have fun with. Before Myron came to Vietnam, there was Captain Rusty Wallace and it's easy to see some chemistry between him and Zeke Anderson. “An Unexpected Meeting” is a wonderfully lusty romp that pairs up Zeke and Rusty. Major Brat does an excellent job of writing two big, good-looking guys getting it on. It's raunchy, rough-and-tumble, and totally hot soldier sex (and inspired by an actual account from a Vietnam vet about a bar in Vietnam much like “The Bull Pen.”) An Unexpected Meeting by Major Brat | | |

Tin makes up for this, a little bit, by writing a fic in which Yamazaki teaches sex-ed. Given his propensity for making stuff up, you can imagine the results...! The explanations he gives would be hilarious to anyone, even those unfamiliar with the series. "Indeed, ladies and gentlemen," he continued into the stunned silence. "Which means, following my logic, that if you were to enact this Position, you and your partner have to be Sixty-Nine Degrees apart."
The class boggled.
"Is that--is that even _possible?" Syaoran asked. "I mean, how the hell do they do that? I mean, I like math and all but... I mean..."

This is not one of her hotter stories (which I adore) but the premise is very intriguing: People are sending Tony 'congratuations' cards and he has no idea why.
