Why this must be read: This story, while somewhat sappy in places, is a riveting read (and I'd deem it sappy in the best possible way).  Written in the wake of "Christmas Carol"/"Emily" story arc, this is a fic that actually attempts to heal some of the emotional damage wrought by those episodes.   The method by which that healing takes place is unconventional, and the harrowing events that Mulder and Scully endure will have you struggling to keep from scrolling forward in the story--but don't!  This story is more than worth a full and attentive read.   The romance is sweet without being cloying, and the fact that there's smut involved is just an added bonus.

"Goshen" is actually the first story in a multi-part story universe that has five full novel-length fics following the events depicted in this tale.  "Goshen," however, is a complete read, in and of itself.  If you don't feel up to delving into the complex fictional universe that subsequent stories begin to construct, you will not feel unfulfilled after the completion of this story.  (However, if you do feel like reading further, you are in for one proverbial roller coaster of a ride.   It's amazing work, but you will need to set aside days to finish the whole series.)

Princess Leia Organa was the daughter of a prominent politician, and a Senator in her own right, before Alderaan was destroyed; she must have encountered Darth Vader several times, at least. Stories about such encounters are a staple of Star Wars fanfic; Sreya's is one of the best.

Banquet Encounter

Hey everyone, I'm Vian and I'll be driving the Stargate Atlantis crack van for July. I'm off to a bit of a late start so hopefully I can make it up.
