Fandom: NCIS Pairing: Tony Dinozzo / Leroy Jethro Gibbs Length: 5623 Author on LJ: unknown Author Website: http://brothersinarms.tvheaven.com/delilah/ncis.html Why this must be read: Summary Nothing much, just a Thanksgiving day-in-the-life. A little romance, a little more angst, a turkey and, eventually, some sex. Great dialogue and premise and lines like "Only Abs would have frozen carbon dioxide around the house," noted Tony, eagerly reaching for the "heat me" platter and taking it to the microwave."
I don't want to quote to much as this fic will have you laughing outloud and enjoying some beautifully written smut in equal measure. The Art and Science of Thankfulness

Fandom: BANDOM (Panic at the Disco) Pairing: Brendon/Shane Valdez Length: ~500 words Author on LJ: raye6 Author website: Author's MasterlistWhy this must be read:
In just over 500 words Raye gets you to know Brendon, and his relationship with his band, builds up some tension, and then throws in a lovely moment with Shane (Brendon's roommate, and a friend of the band for a while now). I love coming out fics, and this is a jem. 'Stop being so gay, Urie,' he says, and Brendon blinks into Spencer's jeans.
'Don't repress me,' he says, but nobody notices the tremor in his voice. 'It's just the way I am.'

Fandom: HOUSE, M.D. Pairing: None Length: ~1,400 words Author on LJ: Dragonsbloodink Why this must be read: Chase is perhaps one of the most private characters in the House universe. We have been given small glimpses through the seasons about his life, his past, his family. Using the Five Times format the author takes a look at five key nights in the life of Robert Chase, illuminating an ever elusive character. Nothing comes but the dawn, and by then, he has already made up his mind.

Fandom: THE SENTINEL Pairing: Jim Ellison/Jack Pendergrast (UST), Jim Ellison/Emily Carson Length: Approx 4,500 words Author on LJ: carodee although it's mainly used these days to link to her Insane Journal. Author Website: Caro Dee's Insatiable SiteWhy this must be read:There are times when fanfic expands on canon and times when it goes forth and fixes something. This excellent story does both things, looking at Jim's relationship with his former partner, Jack, and dealing with issues that came out of the episode 'Deep Water'. It's a Caro Dee story, which means that sexual threads are worked together to make a fascinating picture that's about far more than just sex. Fandom: LOST Pairing: Jack/Shannon Length: 1275 Author on LJ: slybrunetteAuthor Website: 2008 Fic list and/or Fic tag. Why this must be read: Shannon is a character that I loved in canon, and she had a lot of potential they never really explored before killing her off. And I think she and Jack would have been great together. This fic, canon-based for the most part, is able to beautifully highlight a few aspects of her, and her relationship with Boone, and Jack, and it is simply heartbreaking, but in a good way. Excerpt: There's a look there, a look like he doesn't expect that she was the type who ran around and got in fights or did anything that would result in concussions or broken bones. Right, she's been this sarcastic, pretty, primadona her whole life. She forgot.Scars Are Souvenirs You Never Lose

Fandom: STAR TREK VOYAGER Pairing: Janeway/Chakotay, Paris/Torres, Kim/Kes Length: series Author on LJ: unknown Author Website: Julie's FanficWhy this must be read: This series fits into that treasured genre of Voyager fanfic: colonizing a planet in the Delta Quadrant. Stories including crew members having babies tend to have the tendency to turn into cheesy baby stories complete with Tom and B'Elanna's three gorgeous babies and all the little spawn running around happily, but this story does a pretty good job of avoiding that fatal pitfall. The series starts out with an alternate universe twist, but then the author dives head first into the doings of the colony. It's fun to read about how they build their colony and about the problems that pop up. I love reading stories that combine major events with every day descriptions of life. Fandom: DUE SOUTH Pairing: Fraser/Victoria Length: 10.000 words Author on LJ: zabiraWhy this must be read: Fraser's relationship with Victoria is an important piece of the puzzle of his life, but she's often treated as evil and with no redeeming qualities in fan fiction. Zabira writes her as human, but flawed. She doesn't excuse what Victoria does, but the backstory she gives her makes us understand where she's coming from. The story touched me deeply, not just because of how Victoria is written, but because of the perspective it gave me on Fraser. He's so young and vulnerable and convinced that if he just does the right thing, it'll all be okay. But it won't. And still, it really is a love story. Fraser kind of shines through, even in the end when she also hates him. Come With Me
