Why this must be read: This story is like the fandom hattrick that will win my heart forever, MFU+NCIS+S&S=PURE WIN!!! In my own personal world of the imagination, Ducky is really Illya in Witness Protection, and hearts_blood takes this idea another step further and does it in a wholly beautiful and lovely way. Honestly, if I say more I will give it away. This story is full of (surprises) sweet caring moments and humour and grumpy!Illya and worried!Napoleon and is beautiful and lovely and needs to be read if you are at all a fan of MFU, NCIS and/or S&S. Her little world in this story explains so much and is worth a visit.

Why this must be read: Just a nice pair of stories about what happens when two fandoms collide. Not overly angsty and a bonus that Blair is not a doormat.  

In “Impossible”, Jim in a moment of panic that Blair, once again, comes close to dying on a case, impulsively kisses Blair and they have a night of passion.  In the morning Jim is panicking even more about his newly-discovered bisexuality and avoids Blair, who decides to go on a road trip to figure things out. At a diner he meets Fox Mulder, who is also having a personal crisis, and they have a tryst.  In “Dream”, Fox comes back into Blair’s life when he asks for help from Cascade PD to bring Alex Krycek in from the cold.

Mona Ramsey, who was known by other names in other fandoms, sadly passed away last month. She wrote in TS in the early days and her last story was posted ten years ago. She wrote PWPs (Tendencies, Cherry), she wrote angst (Comfort, the 70s series) and she even did a couple of movie adaptations (The Long Goodbye and The Claiming). She also did several crossovers, which I want to list here on Crossover Day.

Why this must be read: This is a sweet little story. Starsky and Hutch meet a young Blair Sandburg working in a bar to earn money for school. Hutch immediately goes all father-protector and although the story is short, he and Blair develop a lovely trust, and I kind of wish I could find out more about their friendship--this dovetails nicely with canon since we know Hutch later was a 'Big Brother' to Kiko.

Why this must be read: When I read this fic, I didn't realise it was part of a larger (and on-going) universe involving the Good Omens and Supernatural characters. However, this fic, and many of the others in the 'verse can stand alone, so it's a win-win situation. Great story in a small package, or even more wondrous things to explore if it tickles your fancy.

Put one demon, two angels, two humans -- every single one of them over-protective of someone -- an angel-killing knife and a flaming sword in one room and this is what you get. It's handsy, pushy, cheeky, tense, and funny watching all our favourite characters contort themselves into their most protective selves in what feels like an apocalyptic game of Twister for the sake of characters they're not supposed to be protective of at all. And when everyone realises they're on the same page, more or less, things have the potential to get even more interesting!

( Sam and Dean are already moving forward, trying to get between the angels before someone does something stupid, though Dean's not entirely sure which one he's expecting to do it. )

What is it with me and shows with totally cracked out canons? I don't know, but Xanthe apparently shares it. In this short little piece, she manages to effectively skewer two of the most WTF-y storylines in contemporary SFF TV: the last two seasons of the X-Files, and the Connor storyline of Angel.

Anyway, this is charming, and goofy, and entirely non-serious, but quite well done. I also pretty much want to hug the ending and ask for pictures.

There are some canons that are just asking for a crossover, and what could be more perfect than the Founders coming to Camelot. Every member of this ensemble cast is used so well in this piece, and Merlin's staggered introductions to Rowena, Godric, Salazar, and Helga throughout the story were just perfect. This fic is one of my favorite crossovers, and one that you all should enjoy.

This is one of those crossovers that's really nifty because of how neatly the author put the two worlds together. It's also got a really good Strong!Harry, that won't dance to Dumbledore's tune.

It's rare enough to see His Dark Materials fic, let alone a crossover, and Shadows captures perfectly a Lord Asriel's who effortless slips into the Dollhouse verse for a brief moment. This little gem was written for the Porn Battle, but there is a lyricism here and a lovely characterization of both Asriel and Adelle along with the sexy.
