Why this must be read: I love crossovers. This is not a big shock if you've ever talked to me for more then 5 seconds. This fic is one of my favorite new fics that came out of bandombigbang this year. Witty, funny, sweet and down right frantic in some places. The title says what it is. A Bus Race between My Chemical Romance, Fall Out Boy, Panic At Disco (just Brendon and Spencer) And The Young Veins (just Ryan and Jon). The Top Gear boys are in great voice in this fic.

Here's the summary just so you can see what I mean.

One night, on a whim, Gerard sends an email to Top Gear asking if he can be a guest on their show. After one week, a dozen more emails and a three-way phone call with Richard Hammond and Pete Wentz, he's invented a new motorsport instead.

This fic covers the events of the First Annual Cross Country Tour Bus Race, including Pete Wentz getting kicked off his own bus, Panic and the Veins swapping members four times, and ending with a concert where the winner plays the final set and the band in last place plays a song in the nude.

Even if you have never seen an episode of Top Gear (she has a primer as well), this fic is a touring fic, a band fic and a general good time.

Why this must be read: - After the press conference, Blair leaves Cascade, deciding to visit a man he has reason to believe is his father - Jack O'Neill.

I've never been fond of crossovers in general; for me they often don't quite mesh in time and space, though I find TS/SG1 ones mostly work. I do like this one, which is a clever handling of the themes of a) who is Blair's father and b) what is a realistic follow-up to the press conference going to be? The story moves well, covers a lot of ground, and unlike many crossovers deals with both sets of characters pretty well equally. There has been some deliberate misinformation given to the characters in the past and there are some misunderstandings in the present, while the resolution is highly satisfactory.

Why this must be read: Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan just might admit their feelings for one another, with a little of help from Starsky and Hutch.  This is a short, loving piece that made me smile.

Why this must be read: This needs to be read because it just shows that the love Starsky and Hutch have for each other can even push two jedi into loving each other. Starsky and Hutch have the real force, love.

This is how Laura describes this crossover:
Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan intercept a broadcast of a "Starsky & Hutch" episode and ponder their relationship in light of the obvious love between S&H.

He turned his attention back to the broadcast, where a squarish picture finally resolved. Text flashed upon the screen, looking somewhat like Basic. The pictures behind the text showed some sort of vehicle traveling along the ground, weaving in and out of other vehicles, but they were drab in comparison to this one, colored a brilliant red with a bold white stripe dashing down the side. Obi-Wan whistled.

Why this must be read:
This story takes the best of two shows (well obviously not Wash dying of course,)  and crams them into one happy little fix it fic. Ascended!Wash is a perfect if somewhat obvious patch for the horror that is the BDM.

Wash doesn’t remember dying, which is a small blessing.

He remembers the dive and the crash. He remembers being a leaf on the wind, because that’s what he was every time he got behind the controls. He remembers letting out a long breath, and starting to say something, and – nothing. Not even pain. Certainly not dying.

Actually, he’s not even entirely sure he’s dead. He’s never been dead before, but he’s seen dead people before, and heard enough stories about the war, and he’s pretty sure no one ever mentioned being walking-around dead. He’s remarkably clean, and wearing a Hawaiian shirt – a new one, no less – and oh, hey, *he’s glowing*.

Which is a shame. The glowing part’s pretty shiny.

Why this must be read:

Doctor Who and Life on Mars crossovers are really nothing new to fandom, there are a bunch of them out there which is bound to happen when two tv shows share an actor. So why did I chose this piece from the rest of the pack? Because this author really sells you on the pairing, she brings these two wonderful characters together, by the end of this story you'll really believe in Martha and Sam, and have your heart broken by the tragedy of it all.

Why this must be read:

I was quite pissed at myself when I realized that most of my favorite crossovers actually started with Nick of CSI instead of Tony. But I’ve been thinking of this crossover since before the month started and I decided to stay with it. It’s a crossover/fantasy/au story that has great promise. The writer’s ability to tell a story needs work, but her idea is a fun one. In a way, I’m glad this story is so far into her arc, because she seems to have started while fairly young and improved as she got older. The first stories are fairly crude.
This story is in the middle of the arc, so underneath the cut will be all the information you need to make up for the beginning stories. I found this story to be a ‘not to be missed’ because of all the ideas it gave me. There are a lot of things wrong with the story, but the ideas that are represented are fantastic. I’m asking you to look past the writer to the story. There is an overall plot to all this also. It gets a little lost along the way, but its there. I think this story is worth it because of where your mind can go with here ideas.
