Why this must be read:

I hadn’t planned on reccing another crossover, but I just reread this and loved the way it explores the depth and complexity of Methos. After wandering the earth for thousands of years, how would he feel about leaving it behind? This beautiful little story explores the facets of his emotions.

Fandom: STAR WARS
Pairing: Anakin/Obi-Wan
Length: ~17k words

Why this must be read:

[livejournal.com profile] generale_kenobi graced the Star Wars fandom with lyrical stories featuring various pairings for years. This is one tale of AU origins, true to the spirit of the Jedi and their Code involving attachments: don't get into one. A plot point involves the acknowledgement that even Jedi need places to um, recharge their energies, and Room 0017 is where they go to accomplish this. Free of Padmé, free to explore the depth and meaning of what it is to be a Knight and have the key to Room 0017, Anakin finds what he is looking for. A plus to the piece is that it is not an ideal love with an ideal happy ending, but it is viable, and that is what we get when we truly work at being content in life.

Why this must be read: This is a gorgeous sunlight drenched fic that drifts into and out of Kirsten Dunst and Jason Schwartzman lives before and during the filming of Marie Antoinette. It's about two people who are friends, and who remain friends while being more than friends. It captures that slow transition in the most beautiful way, referencing the long history they share in such a way that makes it all feel inevitable.

It’s really strange because he recycles she’s like a sister to me to the point where he swears it’s going to drive her insane.
