Totally adorable Tony/Bruce friendship fic. The banter is just the right tempo and the Bruce and Tony voices are spot on. It's hard to make conversation sound natural and like conversation in fic but this manages it.

Why this must be read:

The long-established relationship fic can be difficult to pull off convincingly, but Rageprufrock manages it with her usual deft hand.  Eames wants to role-play as an anniversary present for Arthur, who isn't very good at it.  Eames as 'Bob' (a tie-in to Handsome Bob from RocknRolla) finally convinces Arthur, who ends up being very, very good at it.  By pretending to be someone else, Eames highlights all the ways he knows Arthur best and adds a real romance to what could otherwise be PWPish.  
There is a podfic by Dodificus and she deserves scores of compliments because she is able to convey the characters as simultaneously full of affection and horny. Sex is where a lot of podifccers stumble because when it is bad it is so very, very bad. At its worst it can be like a disembodied voice doing terrible porn dialogue and is the most common reason I hit the delete button. Dodificus has always risen to the occasion, so to speak, and I will happily listen to anything she creates.

And it’s actually really good. The sex is snarky, rough, and ridiculously hot, even if (like me) you never thought you’d say that about either party. This is a fine piece of xenoerotica (alien sex, y’all--this is the fandom with canon tentacle sex, which the author makes good use of) but it's also a delightfully well-done character study of Londo and G'Kar, issues and cultural baggage and odd moments of tenderness included.

And hawt marsupial/tentacle sex!

Why this must be read: If there's a better writer of this tragic transfer pairing out there, please point her out to me. I was this close to reccing This Bitch of a Country before I realized that it was already on crack_van under a different pseud. Luckily I remembered also reading this one, which is equally funny and endearing and all kinds of heartbreaking. I love the way that this author forces these two men to face their attraction to each other without ever glossing over the complications, including the women in their lives. And I especially love how I can hear their distinctive voices loud and clear in every conversation that she writes between them.

Why this must be read:  

I really debated over reccing Table Stakes.  Not because of the writing, which is excellent, or the plot, which is one my very favorite BAMF Arthur and Eames.  The problem is that it is a fill on Inception Kink and is in discussion thread format, which I know people can find frustrating to read.  I urge you to give it a try.  Just read the first 5 parts and I promise you will be hooked for the next 100.
Some of the reasons I enjoy this fic so much; well written smut, a complex dream con with the original team (minus Cobb but with several well developed OCs) and the clever execution of a real-world art heist.  Also, it is set in Prague, a city and culture the author clearly knows well and describes vividly.  This fic shows Arthur and Eames as true criminals, and gives Arthur a plausible, if shady, back-story along with a lot of trust issues.  This is one I re-read regularly and I do it in part for the fun of being on the inside of running a heist and partly to see the slowly developing love affair between two con-men who don't have much faith in love.  And that is why it is ultimately worthy of a rec.
