Fandom: THE SENTINEL
Pairing: Jim/Blair, Jim/F
Length: 12K
Author on LJ: [livejournal.com profile] dolimir_k
Author Website: at AO3 and at 852 Prospect

Why this must be read: Just a little seasonal spookiness by a good author.

Not every culture celebrates Samhain or Halloween, but most have a belief that the living and dead can communicate when the proper conditions exist. Enjoy.

07:10 pm A Brief Account of Life with Zombies by Silver Pard (gen)
I've enjoyed driving the van for two months. I hope I helped some of you to find fan-works you enjoyed - maybe even something you would have skipped or missed otherwise. If you haven't seen Sherlock, rush right out to rent, buy, or borrow. It's fantastic!

I have more stories I would love to share, so I hope to return soon. In the meantime, I leave you with a holiday treat!

Fandom: SHERLOCK BBC
Pairing: John Watson & Sherlock Holmes
Length: 2388 words
Author on LJ: unknown
Author Website: FF.net
Why this must be read:

I've rec'd vampires and werewolves. For Halloween I offer you.... zombies! I have a fondness for stories told in letters, email messages, tweets, etc. This one is hysterical. And short - so go read it.

From the personal blog of Dr John H Watson

Anyone else noticed the increase in Living Dead?

Or: Sherlock's habit of bringing his work home has unpleasant consequences.

10:46 pm Battles Long Ago by Rhiannon (G)
Fandom: THE PROFESSIONALS
Pairing: Bodie/Doyle
Length: Short Story
Author on LJ: Not on lj
Author Website: Rhiannon's stories via Palelyloitering
Why this must be read: Because there is so much wonderful Pros fic that's not yet online! Battles Long Ago is available on the ProsLib CD-rom of Pros stories (link below) for the cost of burning it onto CD, and postage, and the CD is well worth it for gems such as this. Rhiannon is one of my favourite Pros writers - she writes AU lads, and in this case has even turned bits of canon on their head - Bodie is an artist - but somehow there's such a spirit of our our lads there, that I'd know them anywhere. In Battles Long Ago Bodie lives in Scotland with his aunt, somewhat secluded after a traumatic event that left him with fragmented memories. One day he finds himself painting a portrait of another man... and an old military gent called Cowley moves into the neighbourhood... Something is haunting Bodie... It's a gentle, poignant story, that always leaves me a little haunted too - it's a story with feeling and atmosphere and heart, my favourite kind!

Battles Long Ago - not online, but available from the ProsLib CD.
