Why this must be read:

As a class of story that may describe the life of recently fallen Jedi Skywalker, also known as Anivader, or as some say, Vaderkin, there are few equal to this story: Vader trembling his way to serve his new Master more fully. In this case, literally trembling, because Vader has awakened to a new set of physical rules for his body, and his body rejects the suit, to near disaster. See how the author explores the difference between OT Vader's speech cadences, and PT Jedi Skywalker's. It is most satisfying, linguistically.

Why this must be read (viewed) I've fallen a day or so behind in our S&H crack_van travels! I meant to post this as a Friday Night Drive In, but here it is, already Sunday! No matter, let's watch a fabulous video anyway. "Behind Blue Eyes" intertwines the music of the classic song by The Who and the nail-biting S&H episode, "Pariah." With her usual finesse and storytelling eye, T.M. focuses on how the events impact Starsky-- his turmoil and the heavy emotional toll. Hutch is there, by his side, reaching him as only Hutch can, but sometimes even the touch of that very special friend isn't enough to break through the pain. There is an intensely private feel to the scenes here, with Starsky turning inward even as he navigates the external world. It is as though the map in his hand is false, and fraught with wrong turns. "Pariah" is a powerful episode by any standards. T.M.'s video reminds us why--and does so with raw power and with stark, completely honest, beauty.

But my dreams
They aren't as empty

As my conscience seems to be
I have hours, only lonely
My love is vengeance
That's never free

While you are at it, take a moment and enjoy her other thoughtful and excellent videos! T.M. is a masterful storyteller, unique and creative and accurate to a "T" when observing and chronicling the lives of these guys. Enjoy the show!

Why this must be read: After a particularly muddy mission where Teyla is injured, John begins to act oddly. It's little things at first and even when John's behavioral changes continue to escalate, only Rodney appears to notice. What's come over John? Will Rodney be able to save him from himself? There are a lot of lovely interludes in this story; some angsty, some funny, some romantic. This story has it all and is topped off with a nice mystery with a hearty dollop of Sheppard!whump.

Fandom: MERLIN
Pairing: Arthur/Merlin

Summary: Zoofic! Woohoo! Arthur is with the big cats, and Merlin is with the arctic animals. Both are dedicated to their jobs. A friends-to-more fic.
Why this must be read: It's just one of those feel-good fics that make you---yes, that's right--feel good! If you want to sit back and relax and read about friends wanting to more than friends but not being sure of the other one, plus have a little bit of gay penguins thrown in for good measure, plus an animal attack, then you've got to read this one.

Summary: Grieving his father's recent death, Arthur escapes to a cabin in the wilderness for two weeks of solitude and ice fishing. He finds Merlin instead.
Why this must be read: Age difference (Arthur's 37 to Merlin's 22). An emotionally hurting Arthur, which appeals to me a lot. Everyone is very much in character. Merlin is out of the closet, but Arthur is not, and his inability to come out is wrapped realistically in his recent grief. This is a great read and really quite touching. Enjoy!
